Who we are

This policy covers crunchmymortgage.com ("Crunch My Mortgage", "we", "us"). You can reach us at [email protected].

Calculator inputs stay in your browser

Every calculator on this site runs as code in your own browser. The numbers you type, such as prices, incomes, debts, balances and rates, are used only to compute the results on your screen. They are not sent to us, not stored by us and not shared with advertisers. We do not have a database or a server that receives them.

Numbers appear in a web address in only two cases, both started by you:

• Copy link. This button creates a link containing your inputs so you can save or share a scenario. Anyone you give the link to can see those numbers. Opening the link sends the address, including the numbers, to our hosting provider as part of the normal page request.
• Related calculator links. Some links to related calculators carry over shared values, like a loan amount and rate, in the same way.

When a page opens from such a link, it fills in the form and then removes the numbers from the address bar.

Information collected automatically

We do not run analytics or tracking scripts of our own, and the site itself does not set cookies. Like every website, our hosting and content delivery provider processes technical information needed to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested.

Advertising and cookies

This site is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertising works as follows:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

Ads are loaded only after the page has finished loading. Calculator inputs are never passed to ad code.

Calculators embedded on other websites

Other websites may embed our calculators. An embedded calculator works the same way as on this site: it runs in your browser, sets no cookies, shows no ads and sends nothing you type to us or to the website that embeds it. The rest of that website is covered by its own privacy policy.

Your choices

• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The calculators work without cookies.
• Use the opt-out links above to turn off personalized ads.
• Avoid sharing links created with Copy link if you do not want others to see the numbers in them.

Email you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to improve the site, and we do not add you to any mailing list. Please do not send sensitive personal or financial details.

Children

This site is intended for adults making housing decisions. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
